WHAT WE DO

CLEAN REMOVAL.PROPER PREPARATION.

Every quality paving job starts with what comes off, not what goes down. Milling and removal is the phase where corners get cut most often. A third-party demo crew comes in, does a rough job, leaves a surface that's uneven or poorly graded, and the paving contractor inherits the mess. The result is a finished surface that looks fine for a season and starts failing early.

FineLines handles milling and removal with the same in-house crews and on-site management as every other phase of our work. No subcontracted demo crews. No handoffs. No accountability gaps between who removed the old surface and who's putting the new one down.

Whether you need cold planing ahead of a commercial overlay, full-depth removal before a complete rebuild, targeted saw cutting around a utility repair, or full demolition on a lot being redesigned, we mobilize, remove it properly, and leave the site clean and ready for whatever comes next.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

EVERY MILLING ANDREMOVAL SERVICE. COVERED.

ASPHALT MILLING (COLD PLANING)

Mechanical removal of the existing asphalt surface to a precise, consistent depth using commercial milling equipment. Used ahead of overlays to create a clean bonding surface, restore proper grade, and maintain drainage slopes without raising the finished elevation. The right prep work makes the difference between an overlay that lasts 15 years and one that starts delaminating in five.

FULL-DEPTH REMOVAL & REPLACEMENT

Complete removal of the asphalt surface and base layers down to sub-grade, used when the pavement has failed structurally and a proper rebuild is required. We remove everything cleanly, haul it off site, and leave the sub-grade ready for base work and repaving. No partial demo, no material left behind.

SAW CUTTING & DEMOLITION

Precision saw cutting for targeted section removal, utility repairs, isolated base failures, cleanly defined repair zones, or any work requiring sharp, defined edges. Cleaner cuts mean better tie-ins and longer-lasting repairs when the new material goes back down.

BASE LAYER REMOVAL & GRADING

When the aggregate base itself has failed, settled, contaminated, or eroded, we remove it along with the surface asphalt and regrade the sub-base before any new base material goes in. Skipping this step and paving over a compromised base is one of the most common and expensive mistakes in commercial paving.

PAVEMENT RECYCLING (RAP REUSE)

Reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) from milling and removal is processed and reused in new asphalt mixes or as base material where appropriate. Reduces material waste, lowers project cost on applicable scopes, and is standard practice on FineLines jobs where RAP reuse makes engineering sense.

SITE CLEARANCE & MATERIAL HAULING

Full removal of milled and demolished material from the job site, loaded, hauled, and disposed of or recycled responsibly. We leave the site clear and ready for the next phase. No leftover debris, no material piles sitting on your property waiting for a second mobilization.

WHO IS IT FOR

WHEN THE OLD SURFACENEEDS TO GO.

FineLines in-house milling crew on commercial asphalt removal project
01

PROPERTY OWNERS

Your pavement has failed beyond what patching or resurfacing can fix, base failures, widespread alligator cracking, drainage that can't be corrected without starting over. We handle the full scope from removal through to finished surface, one company, no handoffs.

02

PROPERTY MANAGERS

You need a specific failed section removed and replaced without taking the whole lot out of service. We handle targeted removal with clean saw cuts, defined edges, and minimal disruption to the surrounding lot and active tenants.

03

DEVELOPERS & CONTRACTORS

Existing pavement needs to come off before new construction, site expansion, or full redevelopment begins. We mobilize efficiently, clear the site to spec, and hand it back ready for the next phase, on the timeline your project requires.

WHY FINE LINES

ONE STANDARD.EVERY JOB. EVERY STATE.

01

IN-HOUSE CREWS ONLY

Every milling and removal crew operating under the FineLines name is directly employed, trained, and managed by us. We do not subcontract demolition or milling work to third parties. The same standard of oversight that applies to our paving crews applies here, because prep work determines everything that comes after it.

02

ON-SITE MANAGER EVERY JOB

A FineLines project manager is on site throughout every milling and removal job, verifying milling depth, checking grade consistency, confirming haul-off, and signing off on site condition before the next phase begins. Nothing gets missed because someone was reviewing it from an office.

03

ONE COMPANY FROM REMOVAL TO FINISHED

When FineLines handles milling and the paving that follows, there's one point of accountability for the entire scope. No blame shifting between a demo sub and a paving contractor if something isn't right. We own the full result from the first pass of the milling machine to the finished wearing surface.

HOW IT WORKS

SIMPLE PROCESS.NO SURPRISES.

01

FREE QUOTE

Tell us the property location, what needs to come off, and roughly how much surface area we're looking at. We respond same or next business day, always free, no obligation.

02

SITE ASSESSMENT

We visit the property, assess existing pavement condition and base, confirm milling depth or removal scope, and identify any drainage or grading corrections needed before new material goes in. You get a clear scope and honest recommendation before anything is scheduled.

03

CREW MOBILIZATION

Our milling and removal crew arrives with commercial-grade equipment, milling machines, excavators, dump trucks, and saw cutting equipment as required. On-site manager present from day one overseeing depth, grade, and material handling.

04

PROJECT COMPLETION

Site cleared, material hauled, sub-base or sub-grade left ready for the next phase. Full walkthrough before we sign off. If paving follows under the same contract, we transition directly, no gap, no remobilization delay.
